Derek Anglin    Brent Carr    Chris Doster

Derek Anglin was born on November 11, 1982 in Athens, GA and raised in a close-knit family with two younger brothers. At the age of sixteen, he was invited to a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching Independent Baptist church. The young lady who invited him to church that day is now his wife of one year. It was there at Elder Road Baptist Church in Watkinsville, GA that he realized for the very first time that he was a sinner that needed a Savior. For the next three years he ran from the salvation that he needed, but on the third Sunday night in October of 2000, the Holy Ghost had caught up to his running and that night in the office of Pastor Carlton Shelton, he bowed his knee as a sinner of guilt and stood up as a son of grace. Derek was born again at the age of eighteen.
Over the next six months of his new Christian life, God began to deal with him about preaching and proclaiming the Gospel that had dramatically changed his life. Not long after his new life in Christ, he surrendered to the call of God on July 1, 2001 and began his life as a preacher of God's Word. He has been preaching now for almost three years and has no intention of ever looking back.
Derek is now in his junior year at Victory Baptist College. Through the college and church, God has opened many doors of opportunity for him and his wife to minister to others. He has been given numerous opportunities to preach in different churches, youth meetings, revivals, preacher fellowships and camp meetings throughout the Southeast. Every opportunity that God has allowed is a blessing that he and his wife cherish and take very seriously. During the first two years of college, Derek was blessed to work and preach in the prison ministry, Garden City Rescue Mission, and other outreach ministries of Victory Baptist Church. Derek and his wife Lori are currently serving in the Care Ministry, Young Adult Choir and Adult Choir at Victory Baptist Church.
If you would like to contact Derek, please feel free to email him at dereka@srpfcu.org or call him by phone at (706) 296-1579.

Derek's life verse is Matthew 6:33.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Brent Carr was born near Spartanburg in the small town of Cowpens, SC on June 6, 1979. He was born into a Bible believing family and cut his teeth on the Word of God and old-fashioned preaching. He was brought up in the home of a Minister of Music, Sunday school teacher, and Youth Director for 20 plus years and there received training that would equip him for a calling that would come later in his life. From a very young age he was taught to be a student of the Word of God and to follow its guidance.
On the date of March 10, 1985 at the age of 5, Brent accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and there began his life of purpose. From the moment Brent began his life as a new-born Christian it was evident that God had a special plan for him. In high school he received many honors of singing including achieving a spot in the Top Ten Basses in the state of South Carolina in 1997 and then began singing in a family quartet.
The year of 1997 would prove even more to be a monumental year in Brent’s life. After months of praying, in July of 1997 he surrendered to the call to preach the gospel. Since that time God has opened many doors for his ministry. In 2000 Brent was called to Glory Baptist Church in Union, SC to be the Minister of Music, Sunday school teacher, and youth leader as well as assisting in many other aspects of the church ministry. After 2 ½ years of serving and training at Glory Baptist Church and after much sought after prayer and direction, in 2002 God opened the door for Brent to go to college at Victory Baptist College where he is now serving full-time while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology.
Since joining Victory Baptist Church, Brent has been heavily involved in many ministries such as solo, group, and choir music, tutoring and administration assistant at the Victory Christian Day School, jail and homeless mission preaching, Care Team, and youth leadership. As God has blessed Brent with the talent to sing and minister in various ways, he has kept his attention and attitude geared to God’s specific calling on his life, preaching the gospel.
In his 24 years of living Brent has learned three very important principles.
        1) Brent’s Failures are Evident.
        2) Christ’s Forgiveness is Evermore.
        3) Heaven’s Future is Eternal.

If you would like to contact Brent, please feel free to write him at 990 Orange Street North Augusta, SC 29841. You may also email him at preachr87@hotmail.com or call him by phone at (706) 877-4224.

Brent's life verses are Philippians 3:13-14.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Chris Doster was born on July 21, 1975 in Gastonia, NC. He and his brother were raised in Dallas, NC by two wonderful parents. Although his parents loved him greatly they were not saved and Chris never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel until he was thirteen years old.
On April 2, 1989 about 7:30 pm at the crossing of Franklin Blvd. and Myrtle School Rd. in Gastonia, NC while riding in the back seat of a grey 1987 Mazda 323 he bowed his head as a sinner and was birthed as a son! His brother was also saved that night and somewhere in Heaven an angel announced, “We’ve got twins!” Chris was saved ‘yet so as by fire’ for several years then he began hungering for the Word of God and desiring for God to have first place in his life in 1995. God led him to an Independent Baptist Church where he learned many spiritual truths and the great doctrines of the Word of God. During these years he grew by leaps and bounds as a Christian. Finally, after much prayer and study of the Bible Chris surrendered to preach the Gospel on Friday February 27, 1998, the final night of a two week revival.
During the next few years Chris was blessed with many opportunities to preach the Gospel at his home church, rest homes, street ministries, radio broadcasts, youth meetings, preacher’s fellowships and in many churches throughout North & South Carolina. Chris was married to his wife, Kelly, on September 8, 2001. Chris and Kelly began serving the Lord together and God has really blessed them. On November 7, 2001 he saw 'his' first convert while preaching the Gospel at Peace Haven Baptist Teen Church.
The year of 2001 would prove to be a pivotal year in Chris’s ministry. On December 5, 2001 Chris and Kelly were challenged by a message preached by a missionary to trust God for something big. They decided that night, by God’s grace; they were going to trust Him for something big in their life. They began praying for God’s guidance in what He would have for them to do. God led them to Victory Baptist College in February 2002. In May 2002, during the annual VBC campmeeting, God told them to make preparations to move to Victory. Through many situations and amazing circumstances God opened the door for them to move to Victory in April 2003.
Since coming to Victory Chris has had the privilege to preach in many churches in the Southeast. He has also preached in several outreach ministries of Victory Baptist Church. Chris is also blessed to be part two outreach ministries of the college, the “Voices of Victory” radio ministry and the editor of the “The Victory Encourager” monthly newsletter. Chris & Kelly are in the Care Ministry and the Adult Choir at Victory.
If you’d like to contact Chris you may visit his website www.csd.faithweb.com or email him at chris_doster@hotmail.com. If you’d like to speak with him you may reach him at 803-507-0157.

Chris’s life passage is Romans 5:6-9.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
